Canada Summer Games

When the Canada Summer Games came to St. John's in 2025, I proposed an ambitious volunteer project through the Group of 77 Drawing Group: document the Games through live sketching. After the proposal was accepted, I recruited 27 artists, and together we spent two weeks capturing sporting events, ceremonies, and festival activities on location.

Sketching through record-breaking heat, wildfire smoke, and long days across multiple venues, the project became one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Our work received widespread media attention and introduced many people to the art of observational drawing.
